The new Grand Prix 5000 S Tubeless Ready tire sets a fresh benchmark for tubeless technology in road cycling. It’s lighter, faster, and features a reinforced sidewall for improved durability. Experience a ride that’s quicker, more comfortable, and better protected against punctures. Available in multiple sizes and widths.
BlackChili Compound
It’s all about the perfect mix.
Continental’s exclusive tread compound, produced solely in Germany, has revolutionized cycling performance. The renowned BlackChili Compound strikes the ideal balance between grip and rolling resistance. Consistent test victories confirm its measurable advantages both in the lab and on the road. Advanced polymers, specialized carbon black particles, and unique fillers deliver unmatched performance and efficiency.
Vectran
The gold standard in puncture protection.
Vectran™ is a high-tech synthetic fiber inspired by nature — similar to spider silk. As a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP), it’s spun from molten Vectra and processed into multi-strand threads. Like spider silk, Vectran™ offers incredible tear resistance at an exceptionally low weight — the perfect characteristics for a premium puncture protection layer in Continental tires. The Vectran™ Breaker is lighter, more flexible, and more cut-resistant than comparable nylon breakers, all without compromising rolling resistance.
Active Comfort Technology
A revolutionary innovation in cycling comfort.
Integrated directly into the tire construction, Active Comfort Technology absorbs vibrations and smooths out rough surfaces, delivering a noticeably more comfortable ride.
Lazer Grip
Lazer Grip makes you one with the road.
The laser-etched micro-profile extends across the tire shoulder, ensuring exceptional cornering traction and control.
Note:
Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless-compatible rims or wheels, tubeless valves, rim tape, and sealant for proper setup. While UST tubeless systems do not strictly require sealant, using it is strongly recommended for enhanced puncture protection. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel.
